When you don’t know the name of a song…
…it’s so frustrating! Arrrghh! I heard a really good song this afternoon but now I don’t remember any of the lyrics. I can hear the melody of the song perfectly in my head and even hum it but you can’t google a hum 
I figured I wouldn’t need to write any of the lyrics since I noted the station and the time so I could look up the song later on Yes.com (which is a lifesaver when it works) but either I’m remembering the radio station wrong or it’s just not appearing on the playlist. More frustration!
Has that ever happened to you guys? You hear a song you really really like on a commercial or on the radio and then you can’t identify it later? Googling only helps when you know at least a few phrases from the lyrics. Now I’m bummed cause I feel like I’m missing out on a great song :(
It feels worse when you know some phrases, but they aren’t enough to find the song itself! :(
I do it all the time… probably every time I sit in the car. I used to do it a lot while I was driving to work. Hopefully you’ll be able to find your song soon. Don’t worrie, when you’re least thinking of it, it will come to you.

Yeah i know what you mean. It’s really annoying and honestly, sometimes I do wish that you can google down a little hum drum. hahaa. darn you google!
Was actually just having this thought right before reading your post! I heard the song not on the radio though, so I can’t even look up the radio playlist online. I always catch and remember a few of the words or small phrases, but they’re never specific enough to get the right song

This used to happen to me a lot. Then I got songID on my cellphone. Now I just turn the volume up and let my phone tell me what it is :)

http://www.bored.com/songtapper/ is a lifesaver. Just tap the melody of any song and it sometimes works. I just tried tapping the Song that Never Ends and it didn’t work (but did I expect it to?) but I also did Stop by the Spice Girls and it was the first choice. It’s rather hit or miss (no pun intended) but it might help you!
So many times I hear the song and my mind only focuses on the melody. >< Same with a good book that I forget about after a while, I remember a really good line or parts of the plot and I can’t remember the title of the book.
I hate that! I had listened to a song for at least a month on the radio. Everytime I hopped in the car it would play, but they never said the artist or title! By the time I found out the name of the song, it was old news and nobody’s favorite anymore =(

Yes, that is incredibly frustrating, and has happened to me no more than one occasion. I hope you finally figure out your song.
That is always such a pain. :( Hopefully you can find out what it was. I know it won’t leave my mind until I have found the little noodle.
I have been in the same position before wishing I could just type in a hum or a melody, unfortunately that’s not possible. I hope you figured it out for your sanity!

That happens alot to me! Its fustrating at times, but it usually comes back to me. :)
I generally always manage to remember some lyrics… of course there are the cases when I’ve heard them all completely wrong! I just have to hope to hear it again! :-)
I can’t stand it when I hear a new song that I actually like and then can’t figure out later what it was to look it up. I have a tendancy to drop whatever I’m doing and write down part of the lyrics lol. I did find a site that has helped a lot for songs that are on tv shows, which is where I hear most of the songs that I need to google.

That happened to me just the other day! I heard this song I was really liking and then later, when I went to download it, I couldn’t remember the name! Been bugging me ever since, lol.
